Nicholas is obsessed with food. He doesn't eat too much and is in fact quite picky. For the past several months he's been more sensitive to smells and has a difficult time finding food that is palatable. Apparently junk food always tastes and sounds good. Here are some examples:
- When the Christmas season approached, what was Nicholas most concerned
about? He wanted to know when and where we could get a Gingerbread
House, so we could decorate it and he could eat some gum drops.
Eventually he got excited about Santa and getting presents.
- The last time Trevor donated blood on a Saturday morning he picked up some doughnuts on the way home. One day out of the blue Nicholas asks "When is Daddy going to that appointment again, so he can pick up doughnuts?"
- One day a few weeks Nicholas gets in the car after school and proclaims:
"Bryan is so lucky. He has 5 boxes of Pop-Tarts at his house. When
can we have that many boxes?"
- Last night Nicholas sits on my lap and tells me "I want to go and stay
at the hospital overnight. For four nights." When asked why he says
that he wants to have bagels and "that white stuff - what's it called?"
Yes, cream cheese. Guess we should be very glad he associates staying
at the hospital with bagels and cream cheese (and playing with his toys
on the floor), rather than with pokes and illness!

Theresa you and Nicholas both have a gift....N in what he says, and you in how you relay it to us. Shared this with a few co-workers and one exclaimed....he sounds like my soulmate! :)
