You know it's Fall ...

when your tomato plant just up and dies on you. Just loving the one fruit that remains even after the plant shriveled up. I picked 3 green tomatoes from the plant days before this and they are ripening up in the windowsill.


when you dig out the Halloween costumes to see if anything might fit the next kid in line. Here's Katherine in her Goofy Bird costume when she was 2.5 and below is Nick trying it on last weekend. He loved wearing it, but only for about 2, maybe 3 minutes at a time. Not sure I want to deal with that on Halloween. :) And not sure what the kids will end up being ... stay tuned.
