Indy Weekend

As soon as school ended on June 10 we ran out of town!
First, an interesting discovery on the front walk
- a huge slug, one of several.
After K dehydrated a few of those beauties with salt we were off to Indy to visit our fathers for early Father's Day celebrations.  We turned the weekend into a mini-vacation. Mom and Dad had date night and shopping. The kiddos got a lot of time in the hot tub. There were donuts at Grammy and Grampy's house, as is now the tradition, one that Nicholas very much looks forward to.

Sunday we visited Grandpa Sam and Paula and played at the park.

Monday we went downtown to the White River State Park.  All six of us rode a bike and some of us pedaled a boat in the canal. The bike ride was not ideal.  First Nicholas got sunscreen in his eye, then we had to turn the 800 pound bike around a couple times when we met a dead end.  The boat excursion was much more fun.  We strolled, ate, and enjoyed the PERFECT weather.

We ended the day with a trip to Trevor's old neighborhood pool to cool off as the temp rose a bit. Click for a YouTube swimming video of Trev, K and N.

A great start to the summer.
