Birthdays Parties

April 24-25: First we celebrated Katherine's birthday by taking a trip to Sheboygan's Blue Harbor Resort - they have a wonderful indoor waterpark and we had a BLAST! Here we are at breakfast, the restaurant was decorated in an underwater theme:

And here are the kiddos taking a break from the pool and slides. Well, I don't think Nick made it to any slides, but Katherine was once again fearless as she tackled the HUGE and fast tube slide all.by.her.self.
Ah ha! Theresa does exist! Here I am enjoying the Lazy River. Katherine liked it a lot, because she could run along the bottom as she pushed her innertube.

April 28: At home we had a little party and Katherine helped decorate her cake.

Nicholas wanted to wear a birthday crown, too. What can ya do?

May 2: And believe it or not I let Nicholas have a real cupcake on his birthday! After a few minutes, he finally realized, Wow, this is good stuff!

May 3: Eventually we had a family party and ... Pinata time!
Look at the fear in this poor baby's eyes. Yes, he's biting his fist because he's scared. Daddy thought it was hilarious, but Nick started to freak out at the noise!
Grampy takes a turnDaddy takes a serious whack at it. He finally forced the star to give up its loot.

May 10: Katherine had a party with 6 of her friends and neighbors. They did a few crafts, then played and played and ate muffins. Yes, no cake - EEEEKKK!

May 17: Grandpa Sam made it up and helped pick our lovely dandelions. Katherine got a Barbie big wheel and has taken it out on numerous spins. She and Nick like the vacuum he recieved, but since he cannot yet walk, he hasn't been helping with the housework. *sigh*
